The Online Training Course as a Preparation Tool for Young People in Youth Exchanges will offer you the chance to find out more information about Youth Exchanges as mobility projects opportunities for young people as well as to help you prepare for such an experience abroad, once you take the decision to join one.

It equally helps structures and organisations working with young people who intend to have this European experience in a Youth Exchange project.

Participants

The course is open for participants from Programme and Partner countries of E+.

Programme countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, North Macedonia, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey and Serbia.

 

Learning tools

You will use different learning essentials during the course, including the following: online textbooks, audio-video summaries, mind maps, supplementary bibliography, quizzes, tasks etc. The most revolutionary feature is a 3D game that will help course participants to experience the learning material in a surprising, more efficient way.

 

Objectives of the course – key elements

By the end of the course, participants are expected to:

• Have an overview of Youth Exchanges;
• Identify the activities and stages of a Youth Exchange;
• Identify the actors involved in a Youth Exchange;
• Understand the requirements for participation in a Youth Exchange;
• Identify the main areas of preparation of a young person for a Youth Exchange;
• Understand the role of an APV within the framework of a Youth Exchange project;
• Understand the role of an Intercultural Evening;
• Gain insights about potential ways to support the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in a Youth Exchange activity;
• Gain knowledge on safety and security measures while travelling abroad for a Youth Exchange;
• Acknowledge the learning opportunities connected with the participation in a Youth Exchange activity;
• Gain competences in the following fields: cultural awareness, logistics and financial management, time management and personal development.

 

Time

The course is planned for June-August, in groups. You will need around 18 hours to complete the course, depending on your study pace. 

 

Price

Our course is free of charge for the participants, thanks to the funds from Erasmus+ programme and the efforts made by the team of the project.

 

Certificate

When you have fulfilled the basic requirements, you will get a course attendance certificate.

Languages

Currently, the course is available in English. It will soon be available in Romanian, Italian and German, as well.
